Participating in a Course and Receiving a Certificate is not the Goal to Strive for
Many students set the goal of successfully completing the course (or the studies for one or another degree) with the highest grades possible. There are many low-level courses. A high grade in a course whose level is unknown does not indicate that the candidate has the required abilities. Even if your course was excellent and you did your part in that course, those recruiting software developers cannot know that. Many students and lecturers are still captive to the concept that a high grade indicates that the student has a high level of knowledge. The diploma is not the goal to strive for. The diploma alone is not worth much. There are thousands of people with fancy diplomas looking for a career in software development. When a company recruits a software developer for a certain position, the candidates must pass professional tests and may even receive programming assignments to test their abilities. If you, too, have been captive until now in the concept that high grades will lead to you being hired, I suggest recalculating your route. High scores might lead to an invitation for the first interview or an invitation to come over and complete a coding test. Not beyond that.
